Supporting Our Ministry

It’s clear that Ezekiel’s large, vital and diverse ministry requires substantial financial support.
At Ezekiel we are committed to providing the resources necessary to accomplish our mission.

General Fund

Gifts to the General Fund support the general operating functions of the church. This would include the maintenance, utilities and insurance of the church building, staff salaries, and program activities.

2021 Plan for Giving Card

Mission Fund

A portion of every dollar you donate to the Shine the Light Campaign is used for mission projects locally and globally. At their recent meeting, the Ezekiel Service and Mission Committee has designated $500 from your Shine the Light gifts to be used to assist people affected by recent tornadoes in the Chetek, WI area. An additional $500 will be donated to the Jacob’s Ladder Preschool scholarship program for a child from a local refugee family to attend preschool this fall. Thank you for all that you give to our Shine the Light Campaign!

Members of the Service and Mission Committee are Susy Eisele, Leah Gavin, Pastor John and Joni Henning, Curt Larson (Chair), Lois Michaelson, Judy Pierson and Michael Hofland.  If you have an idea for mission, let us know.  If you would like to participate actively, please join us!  We meet at Ezekiel, at 6:30 p.m., on the second Monday evening of every Month.

Ezekiel Legacy Fund

Established in 1995, the Loving and Caring Endowment (LACE) committee is charged with generating and overseeing the management of larger donations made to Ezekiel.  LACE encourages individuals to make an investment in extending the stewardship of God’s gifts into the future by supporting outreach beyond the regular church budget.  LACE accepts gifts and bequests that enhance the mission of the congregation.  Since its inception, LACE has received over $200,000 in cash and property donations. These donations typically come in the form of estate trusts, cash donations and/or distribution of income from wills.  LACE funds have been used to support such outstanding programs as the parish nurse, youth ministry, college scholarships, and the purchase of bells.

A second goal of the LACE committee is to help educate the congregation about ways of managing their assets in order to ensure both their own financial security as well as that of Ezekiel Lutheran Church.

For more information or have questions, contact the Endowment Committee: Brad Olson, Lu Ann Hecht, Shirley DeMotts.

Gifts and Memorials

The general purpose of the Memorial and Gifts Program for Ezekiel is to support and extend the ministry of this congregation now and in the future.  The program will encourage, receive, disperse and acknowledge Memorials and Gifts according to the donors wishes and the Memorials Committee guidelines.  Members and friends of Ezekiel are encouraged to give such gifts to the Glory of God and the good of the entire congregation in memory of loved ones.
